三月份的活動多姿多彩,首先有打頭炮的「與校長茶聚」,在茶聚中,家長欣賞學校安排多項活動給學生,令他們盡快適應「復常」後的學校生活。回想一下,「與校長茶聚」已停辦三年了!今次參加的家長十分踴躍,約有70位家長參加。是次活動分為三個部分,第一個部分是由我向大家報告學校的近況及未來發展;第二部分是各主任與不同級別的家長作小組討論,大家互相分享與回答家長的提問,我也不時加入各組別參與討論;第三部分是參觀學校新設施。為讓學生有更好的環境學習,我們努力將學校「大翻身」,禮堂、圖書館、地下電腦室及G01室都重新裝修。家長們每參觀一個地點,都報以「WOW」的讚嘆的聲音,並不時取出手機拍照。活動完結後,家長們表示感謝學校為他們的子女提供如此優良學習環境。家長們參觀時的興奮,彷彿變回了一位小學生,跟着老師參與各特別室的活動,就像他們的子女一樣。

All the activities organized were dazzling. I was worried that there were too many activities but our school was praised by parents on an event called ‘High tea with Principal’ on 10th March 2023. It was rerun after the pandemic and there were almost 70 parents to join this event. As we believed and agreed that all these amazeballs activities could help students get used back to normal school life. About the event, it was divided into 3 parts. The first part was a presentation which was presented by me to share the status quo and the future development of our school. The second part was a group sharing that some senior teachers would be in the group to talk or solve the questions that parents wanted to know. The last part was about a school tour. It was because there were too many new renovations during the precious moment in pandemic. The school hall, the library, the computer room, room G01 and so on were revamped. Parents exclaimed and took out the phone to take pictures. They told us that their children love staying at school and they figured out now. They thanked the school to provide such a good learning environment to their children. At that time, I found out all the parents became little kids and they enjoyed sitting here and there, taking photos, reading books who behaved exactly to the same to their kids.

在三月一日,二年級及五、六年級的同學分別到濕地公園及K11 Musea的Splendid Park(燦爛公園)參觀。雖然大家也參觀公園,但感覺截然不同。二年級為配合英文科的教學內容--濕地公園,所以英文科老師想讓學生從做中學習,到濕地公園作考察,讓學習更深刻。而五、六年級同學則參觀Splendid Park,目的是刺激高年級同學的藝術思維,繼而提升他們的創作力。為再加強這一方面的能力,我們已二月尾與部分四至六年級同學參觀M+博物館,今次再為五年級的同學安排欣賞「草間彌生」的展覽會,機會實屬難得,同學們都把握機會,積極參與會場的活動。

On 1st March 2023, P.2 students and P.5 & P.6 students went to Wetland Park and K11 Musea – Splendid Park respectively. Although they went to ‘park’, it was completely different. In P.2 English curriculum, there is a chapter about Wetland Park. Therefore, teachers discussed in the co-planning meeting and wanted to arrange an excursion for our students to let them experience it which made them cherished. They could take pictures and our NET could accompany with them to explain to our students in English. In the ‘Splendid Park’ all the painting and artifacts could stimulate our students’ sensitivity in art which boosted their creativity and critical thinking. For further enhancement in these perspectives, P.5 students were arranged to visit the M+ museum – Yayoi Kusama: 1945 – Now. This is such an exquisite exhibition. Our students from P4 – P.6 had been there in the end of February and I was there with them. Some people travelled to Japan for visiting this exhibition and even teachers wish to visit too, it is such an invaluable show.

展覽會後,當我及部分視藝科都覺得草間彌生的作品在某程度上可以刺激學生的視角,令他們的潛在創意得以被導出,及可透過作品表達自己的感想和觀點。有見及此,視藝老師們設計一系列的鞏固活動,我們將G05室打造成小型「草間彌生」展,讓未參觀展覽的同學感受一下,他們更有機會透過展板、工作坊去了解草間彌生作品。衷心多謝視藝老師的心思及付出! |
Some VA teachers visited the exhibition of ‘Yayoi Kusama: 1954 to Now’. We believed that Yayoi Kusama’s painting or artifacts can stimulate our students to have other perspectives in art. Their potential creativity could be accelerated to express their feeling and thoughts. All the VA teachers renovated the G05 to be a mini-museum to display Yayoi Kusama information and paintings. It was amazing that there were some interactive games for our students to do. Our teachers made a big pumpkin to let students interact with. Thank you very much for our VA teachers’ thoughtfulness and diligence.

在三月十七日下午,我們的五、六年級被邀請參加南屯門官立中學開放日活動,而我和副校長被邀請參與當天的開放日開幕禮儀。同學們的表演精彩,更遇到多位舊生上來與我們「相認」。事實上,他們長大不少,難於辨認。至於五、六年級的同學就四處參觀,參加不同的攤位遊戲,展示一下自己的實力。大家最後也盡興而回。在三月十七日下午,我們的五、六年級被邀請參加南屯門官立中學開放日活動,而我和副校長被邀請參與當天的開放日開幕禮儀。同學們的表演精彩,更遇到多位舊生上來與我們「相認」。事實上,他們長大不少,難於辨認。至於五、六年級的同學就四處參觀,參加不同的攤位遊戲,展示一下自己的實力。大家最後也盡興而回。 |
On 17th March 2023, all the P.5 and P.6 students were invited to join the open day of South Tuen Mun Government Secondary School. The vice principal and I were invited to join the kickoff ceremony. The performances of the students were brilliant and we met some alumni. Indeed, they became mature and it was hard to recall my memory to identify who he or she is. Our students walked around to see all the information provided and they played various booths to show their talent. We were all so happy to have such experience.

在三月十七日早上,屬校世界龍岡學校朱瑞蘭(中英文)幼稚園到校進行聯校舞蹈滙演—共創孩子的成就(故事舞蹈劇—糖果屋)的綵排,這次表演,我們的學生也被邀請參加,同學們也花上幾個月的練習時間,當天的綵排十分順利,大家也期待着滙演的來臨。 |
On 17th March 2023, our affiliated school – LKWFS Chu Sui Lan Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten held a Dancing performance called ‘To create students’ Achievement – Candy House’. All the teachers and students of the kindergarten came to our school hall for rehearsal. It is our honour to have 2 scenes to perform. We had spent about several months for practicing with a recruited choreographer. It was so smooth on that day and our students have an expectation on the performance day.

三月十九日(星期日)聯校舞蹈滙演於屯門大會堂正式公演。當天早上主任們及同學陸陸續續回校化妝、裝扮(包括頭飾、髮飾及舞衣等),主任們及家長義工忙個不停,最後在校內進行一次綵排。我們大約下午2:00乘搭旅遊巴前往屯門大會堂作最後一次綵排,之後副校長及主任們就各司其職了!副校長、鄭主任、劉主任、陳凱玲老師、劉美儀老師在後台打點一切及照顧學生;麥主任及傅主任在接待處接待嘉賓;劉賢新主任及張靖楠主任一邊協助佈置場地及拍攝。表演在下午四時開始,嘉賓們陸陸續續在下午3:30後到達,分別在紙製的「棒棒糖」上簽名,再到大展板貼上及拍照留念,十分有心思的佈置。是次活動的主禮嘉賓是教育局學校發展主任楊永豪先生,當然不可缺少的世界龍岡學校主席張鴻釗先生及一眾校董、世長及世誼,另外有同區小學及幼稚園校長到場參與,令是次活動增色不少。在下午約三時四十分,各位觀眾魚貫入場,排隊的觀眾要排出大會堂,場面壯觀。下午四時正式開始,經各嘉賓致辭及頒發紀念品及獎狀後,表演正式開始,大家傾力以赴,每個環節也獲得大家熱烈的掌聲。時間飛逝,表演於5:30完結了,嘉賓們也上台拍攝留念,台下觀眾拍攝不斷,大家高興不矣。雖然曲終人散,但大家也會將是次表演記在心中。這次的學習經驗,對小朋友的成長有莫大幫助,日後我們也會為學生提供表演機會,豐富他們的學習經歷。 |
On 19th March 2023, it was Sunday. That day was the dance performance of affiliated school. The venue was the Tuen Mun City Hall. At 11:30 a.m., senior teachers and I went back school and teachers and parents helped students dress up and make up. It was almost for 2 hours. Then they had a rehearsal at the school hall first. At around 2:00 p.m., we set off. Students felt a bit nervous when they arrived at such big venue. After the rehearsal, they were all back to normal and kept on talking with each other. Then all the senior teachers and I were separated to help with all other works. Vice principal, Ms. Cheng, Ms. Lau with Ms. Lau (Library) and Ms. Chan took care the performers’ Ms. Mak and Ms. Fu helped with the receptionist; Ms. Cheung and Mr. Lau helped set up the decoration and take photos. Although the show would be started at 4:oo p.m, parents had already lined up at 3:00p.m as they wanted to have a best angel to take photos with their kids. Around 3:30p.m. guests came and they needed to sign their name on a big lollipop and stick on the big beautiful backdrop. Of course, taking picture was a must. At around 3:45p.m, audiences began to go into the auditorium. It was spectacular as too many people queuing up there. The ceremony started at 4:00p.m. Speeches were addressed by various guests and prizes were presented to all the performers. Performances were finally begun. A round of applause were given throughout the show. It was because all the students were so lovely and cute. Around 5:30p.m., all the performances finished and all the guests were going up on the stage to take a photo together. It was such an unforgettable performance for the children. It was a meaningful and authentic learning experience for our students which enhance their growth. I believe that we will try our best to provide more opportunities to our students to perform on stage and let them experience it.

近日天氣乍暖還寒,學校大門外的簕杜鵑盛放了!今年不單比往年開得更燦爛,而且前後大門也有,吸引很多遊人拍攝,我們是主人家,也要留下倩影,也歡迎大家前來我校門前「打咭」。

The weather is sometimes in between warm and cool, all the Bougainvillea are blossom. This year, all of them are in full blossom in both front and back school gates. Lot of passersby stopped and took photos with. Being the ‘landlord’, we have to take a photo first. Welcome to our school gate to take a nice photo under the Bougainvillea.
